Owing to the long chat the previous day, i found myself taking the first bus of Service 965 at around 0545hrs back home. It was strange... to sleep while the sun was slowly rising...
I thought i had woken up around 11am then i remarked to myself aloud how strangely my body had been spared of lethargy and aches when my clock proudly displayed 3.45pm. No wonder...
Despite having spend the entire day out yesterday, Dan invited me out to watch King Kong and i managed to get Urong out too...
So in the end, Dan got his haircut at Civics Plaza while the two of us ate at a coffeeshop before we eventually met at GV Yishun for the 2115 hrs screening...
Now would be my traditional 2 cents' worth of the movie...
I would like to credit Peter Jackson for his awesome ability to use powerful imagery and astonishing CGI to render out entire scenes in his production. I found myself amazed at his rendition of America in the throes of Great Depression. For such an entertaining 3- hour-long movie, i believe the movie is really worth the ticket...
Beyond the facade of mindblowing graphics and wonderful animation, I believe that Mr Jackson was simply trying to bring across a simple message to me. In fact, i think that the message is similar in essence to the idea that Tim Burton was trying to convey to me as well in Corpse Bride.
In today's world, a relationship between two individuals from two totally different worlds will bring about great hardship and untold consequences... A border between the different worlds in this context may be defined along cultural, religious or economical lines...
I'd like to do my summary of year 2005 but owing to my idleness during the weekend, the entry was delayed... i hope to post it on fri though...
