The next morning when i woke up, daddy went with Uncle Ben to shop around for a decent battery in Yishun Industrial Park A. However, they returned empty handed when quoted 120 for a single unit. In the end, daddy and mummy had to walk to grannma's house which was fortunately just a 10 minutes' walk away. Meanwhile i got my lucky break when i chanced on CAS's website. I gave a call and 2 hours later a mechanic came down with a brand new maintenance battery.
For an onsite jump start plus the cost of installation and also considering the fact that we were getting a maintenance free accumulator (good brand; Amaron) for just $94.15 to me was a steal.. Especially when we are talking about a public holiday here.
Meanwhile, I learned another thing today. Once a battery is completely discharged, you can never charge it up using the alternator of the car again.
