Company Dinner

I attended my company's annual New year dinner last evening. It was held at my boss's abode which was an unprecedented occurence. Nevertheless, noone complained since it wasn't everyday where you could have Boss to serve you all night. Ha! I enjoyed myself alright, good food ( I downed 2 abalones alone!), good wine and gregarious company (my colleagues are a rather dirty-minded bunch). It was really refreshing to see everyone be at ease and talk something informal for the night. Being the youngest and newest addition to the Company, I was naturally the target of teasings and drubbings yesterday. Well, I kept having people making fun of my "powderful" English and the guys kept asking me for my type of girl. Haha...

The highlight of the night was when Boss tricked us in each downing a shot of Absinthe. My god, It was really outrageous. I should have known that something was wrong when the little amount of absinthe evaporated just like medicinal alcohol when Boss accidentally spilt a wee amount on my right hand. Well, in the end we fell for it and gulped it down in good spirits (what a pun!) The burning sensation led many to remarked that it was akin to drinking kerosene. Just don't ask me how they came to know the sensation of drinking kerosene. Like what I said, my colleagues are crazy :D If you don't know, the Absinthe I drank had an alcohol concentration of 75% (gasp!). Haha, and I remained well sober after that! Yay!
