Thank God It's Friday!!

Back in school, there used to be this stupid advert for KFC on the radio. Then, i think either rod monteiro or jean danker would holler out "Thank God It's Friesday" to advertise for KFC's one for one french fries offer on Fri. What a cheesy commercial it was then... The point is i never could comprehend how hard or how much longing one can possibly have for the coming of a weekend. Of course it's a much welcomed break but it's really beyond me to think that one would almost gasp in desperation in the wait... as if the weekend was oxygen.

Darn... Now i do get it, the precious weekend, the elusive weekend, the you're-so-wonderful-(loop forever) weekend... Argghhh, it's driving me nuts at this point in time of my life for me to wait out the work week just so that the weekend can come. Nevermind how short and fleeting it is. Sheesh, sometimes in my random daydreaming i have often wondered... How could it will be if the workweek could be as short as the weekend or if the weekend could be as long as the weekwork! Either way, i certainly don't mind... Would you? *Wink

So yeah, back to my dry-as-nails-and absolutely-harrowing weeks in Mt Barebones shall we? As of late, I discovered that the passing of Time himself has slowed a great deal, of course to my chagrin and huge dismay. My conclusion was that this phenomenon must be attributed squarely to the lack of public holidays recently. C'mon... don't you realise that our last publicly ordained holiday was a miserly 2 months ago? That puny polling day which was craftily arranged on a *slap forehead, Saturday?? Holy Geyser...

But but... luckily for my sanity's sake, i have been having healthy loads of family getaways on these weekends. They are really enjoyable given that my sis whom i usually rarely go out with on weekends, went along to jive things up. And who can even forget to mention the company of wacky little Jovas with his rib-tickling antics? I've lost count of the number of times i laughed till tears rolled down my fat cheeks. Rofl!

Sigh... And here i am, stuck in Mt Barebones once more and for numerous weeks to come, blogging to you about my enchanting and certainly memorable weekends. And I can definitely tell you with no absolute hint of a stammer that boy...am I looking forward to the next weekend! *Winks
