If there was any excuse i could offer to anyone over my apparently grumpy face in my driving licence, it would be my unhappiness over parking in the REAL world. Yes, welcome to the real world to me ~
Fwaugh! Parking with poles, what a piece of joke... Unless everybody install take kor [Hokkien for bamboo pole] by the sides of their vehicle. My dad was bringing me through some orientation lessons at the carpark below yesterday when i realised that the culture shock that accompanied my transition from a L-plater to a P-plater was very big.
But to reassure you guys, i was accustomed to perpendicular parking within the first "lesson" i had with my father. Haha, don't pray pray okie! Me 好歹 first time pass okie!! Okok, lest i become haolian and OOT, let's stick back to topic... So, we were doing perpendicular parking and some casual driving around the carpark which was conveniently circular like in the test circuit when my dad asked me to drive out. I was like WOW! Finally the moment is here!!
You may not understand this but the significance is really great. For one thing, i have always been driving within the confines of the circuit and Bukit Batok/CCK so driving in Yishun was a real new experience for me. Furthermore to finally be able to drive rather than be driven in a place where i have known since young was akin to a victorious home return. You know the phrase, 凯旋而归?? Yes yes... My Mandarin is not that bad i know haha... Oops, I might really be flamed if i don't stop gloating again. Yeah, so my drive around Yishun though short was nothing short of being monumental to me. It was a casual one in case anyone was misled by my description to think i was actually driving an opentop rover accompanied by a massive motorcade on a victory parade... rofl
Well, that's all for now...
