Despite having passed since the 26th of June, i haven't been able to do much driving save on weekends. Naturally so since I still hadn't got the means to sustain the upkeep of a car in S'pore. Even so, my driving stints on my weekend getaways were mainly restricted to practising REAL world parking i.e. vertical and parallel parking without any poles as well as short driving trips within the ambit of Yishun. And as you would expect, these are also done under the auspices of Practice...
Not that i am complaining...
Well, today was a great day for me! *Wink eye
For the first time, i drove out of Yishun to Ang Mo Kio. it may not seem much but the significance is definitely there... The original plan from my Dad was to let me have my first taste of expressway driving on the TPE(SLE) which was so because of the former's relatively lighter traffic compared to say... the CTE. Yet circumstances eventually altered the decision and i ended up driving on the CTE. It was an absolute thrill! And i eventually went for my first parking in a MSCP in Funan the IT Mall. Contrary to my worst fears which was of endless stretches of vehicles waiting for me attempting to park my car, it was a nifty-no problem at all :DD
I also did some maiden city driving in the Shenton Way area [which was admittedly sparse but by no means deserted for obvious reasons...] as well as the Beach road locale. So it was, first time driving out of Yishun, first time on the expressway, first time driving in Town, first time parking in a MSCP and the first time ferrying my family for a real purpose!
Yeah, you get the drift...
