The Traffic Police test is in a month's time. The time space can be described as neither too long nor too short. I am thus getting the jitters already. My time of reckoning will be in the morning. Gambatte to myself!
To be truthful, the jitters probably came from my driving lesson yesterday. Despite a two-week hiatus, i did not degrade into a half-past six driver as my instructor put it. With the initial confidence i had, i asked for a mock assessment. Sighzz...
Anxiety got the better of me as it always did in the past. Despite my instrucot maintaining a friendly demeanour, the "kan cheong" aura that i exuded was probably overpowering. Due to time constraint, the mock assessment was limited to the circuit component. I didb't feel too good about the assessment but the instructor offered to moderate my ill feelings by telling that my primary bug bear was starting off in wrong gear. -_-''' I think i moved off in 2nd gear for like 4 times. Does that means that i am a born Class 4 License holder?? But the most surprising thing is that i manage to move off the circuit slope in 2nd gear smoothly with much ado so much that it surprised the instructor that i didn't get the engine stalled or anything like that.
But i would like to think of this slope episode as a bad one, nothing much to be proud about that i can go off in 2nd gear without anything wrong. The instructor said that it's probably due to my good clutch control at this stage. Nevertheless, i must buck up!!
As i near the concluding stage of NS, i am firming up some good plans and goals. Not really lofty ones but things that would grant me a real sense of achievement when they're completed. Most of them are about sprucing up things that are related to me.
Let's see...
Next month, i will be taking my driving test as i have mentioned a good portion earlier. This will mark a milestone in my life in my opinion as i have only academical credentials to my name thus far in life. The ability to drive is a skill no matter what. Then, i will probably keep a low spending profile i.e. save more and [become a Scrooge??] so as to realise my next computer. Contrary to what i posted about my computer purchase earlier, i will now delay my acquisition to coincide with my ORD for reasons, practical and financial in bearing. Then i suppose, my father will be engaging professional painters to give our home a fresh coat of paint and probably refurbish some furniture in our house to give a rejuvenating feel. Hmmm... i am still pondering about my choice of colour for my room.
And prior to the anticipated painting, i am doing a major overhaul of my room. Haha, what an overstatement i should think. There's pretty little to what i can probably overhaul as i have a big wardrobe and study desk, both fixed. Probably what i can do is to give them a fresh sheen to lend a gloss to their surfaces? And i will want to give a more minimalist look to my room. I am not in favour of a spartan look but i am not keen on a clutter interior either.
As of late, i have rediscovered a picky and perfectionist alter ego emerging from within. I will prowl the corridors of my house, looking our for any blemish or any jaded surfaces. And then without further ado, i would spring into action. I guess this stems from my innate desire to have the best. Though i am not keen on frittering away dollars to purchase new stuff to replace the old. [ even if i had tonnes of cash, i wouldn't do that too. Somehow i feel a pang of regret whenever i am on the verge of throwing away old stuff]
Yes... yes, E'nuff said about my sprucing project. I am expecting myself to be digging, planting, sowing and sweating all out in a greenhouse i can proudly call my own any time soon. Hmmm... Maybe when things are more firmed up about this greenhouse, will i reveal more details about my greening adventures! On a sideline, i would like to express gratitude for having been given an opportunity to dig a fire trench as well as a shell scrape. Those experiences definitely will come in handy. I am expecting the task ahead of me to be a cinch in comparison. Till then, i will concentrate all my efforts to pass my TP test!
