A Dreamy Lesson

I had a most strange dream. It was a brief experience where i found myself sitting in a carriage of a train. It was a typical scene if you know what i mean. An ordinary scenario on the train. My fellow passengers breaking into whispers and small talk. What surprised me was the apparent queerness of the language they spoke. Indians weren't speaking Tamil nor Hindi or any similiar Indian Tongues. Malays weren't speaking the easily discernible Bahasa Melayu. And the Chinese passengers sound like they were speaking Martian.

I am no longer speaking the same language as anyone else. Effectively, i have lost the ability to communicate with other people...

I was then reeling from this absurd scene when i suddenly heard laughter. A shrill one but definitely a human laughter. It came from a small group of people sitting in the same carriage as i was, several seats away. Apparently, they were sharing some internal jokes. The other members of the group began laughing away as well. Shrill laughter intermingled with deep intonating ones. Then i realised...

Laughter is not just merely the best medicine in the way. It is the universal language for everyone. No matter your race, language, creed or religion, your laughter will always be understood all around...
