Saturday
At this point of writing, i feel extremely guilty towards myself. Guilty because i did not even run a milimetre for this bookout. As you know very well, exercise has to be kept up regularly. Failure to do may result in some undesirable results including the aforementioned guilt-related depression.
Reason for the hiatus? Firstly on Fri, i had a specialist's appointment at the National Skin Centre followed by a period of driving lesson at BBDC.My friday ended officially at 1030hrs afterwhich i was already tired and in no mood for a run.
And on Saturday itself, i woke up extremely early at 0821hrs for yet another driving lesson. After that, i joined Niaoren, Rye and Marleen for an Open House visit at NAFA. This simple visit eventually snowballed to a sizeable group outing with Danqing, Weilia and Urong san joining us respectively in chronological order.
It was a long time since so many of us are able to get together. However it's lamentable that we weren't fortunate enough to get Tara to join us if not it will be great, in my opinion. But like all good things on earth, we had little luck in maintaining our large gathering which was rare in any case. This was because, Dan eventually had to leave for his paternal grandparents' house and Marleen too, for she had to do up her report for her Final Year Project.
Despite this, the rest of us still had a relatively fun time making a fool of ourselves at the rather iconic man-made waterfall at Millenia Walk. The guys were also very game to accompany me on a literally "uphill" task. If you do not know, i am actually a photography enthusiast. So i jumped on the chance to ascend Sheares Bridge to take a picture of Singapore's waterfront when we were inches alway at Millenia Walk. I was sorely disappointed or rather i was a bit let down by by my trusty camera. It seems that i was starting to find the technical limitations of my camera a real hassle now. But in any case, i was also miffed by the lacklustre view of the waterfront. Compared to the skylines of other prominent cities with maritime profiles, Singapore's really look bad.
I did take a few snapshots but being in Mt Barebones now, i can't post them. Maybe next bookout people. Hopefully you can comment on them...
Footnote: Pardon my slight mechanical entry, i was feeling a bit listless...
