If there's really something i would want to photograph, it would be the Southern Lights otherwise known as Aurora Australis. To think that i was twice in New Zealand [a good spot to photograph the picturesque scene] and yet i left on both occasions with no photographs to boot.
However i was only able to visualise the Aurora Australis with my own eyes during the first trip, conceivably due to the fact that the second trip did not cover the South Island which was further down in the Southern Hemisphere. It was simply magnificent and i stood there in the dead of the night, gaping and entranced for a very long time.
Naturally i was grateful to having that urge to answer the call of nature at that precise moment without which, i wouldn't be able to see the Southern Lights for myself. Hopefully i would be able to capture Aurora Polaris in digital the next time.
