Cool Tech Toys...

Keyboard

So you think the keyboard is an unlikely candidate for evolution huh? Clunky monitors have given way to sleek flat screens, mice have seemingly morphed into invincible rodents as Razer have shown us and even Apple has shown us that the tower chassis need not be boring. Yet time and time again, the humble keyboard was sidelined by its more flamboyant peripheral cousins in conceptual PC lineups unveiled by big wigs.

Not anymore... Art Lebedev Studios of Russia has managed to get me and probably many others jolted by this simply gorgeous keyboard.

The Optimus OLED Keyboard

Don't let its seemingly innocent look dupe you.

Now let's take a closer look...

Were you taken aback? It's normal...

Now do you know the reason why i'm madly in love with this?? As you can observe, every key is not simply just an ordinary piece of plastic melded with plastic lettering. On the contrast, every key comprises of expensive OLED screen that allows you to program any key to show just about any image!

Razer might have wowed us when it unveiled its highly programmable keyboard but i feel that the idea of a keyboard which remembers what each key represents in a certain program e.g. Quake, is more seductive than you having to remember the keystroke for every vital process in the game.

An example of what i meant...

Don't you just want to grab one now?

Isn't it just cool?? Simply both thumbs up!

P.S. I'm not sure of the pricing of this OMG-i-want-to-cry fella but i do know that it's coming out on Feb 1st!
