My two cents worth about mp3 players

I think it is timely for me to do up this article. A year ago or more, this would have been needless. Nowadays with the endless array of mp3 players, consumers are left absolutely flabberghasted and lost, least to say. Hopefully my two cents worth here will bring back that focus and make you a more informed buyer.

As mp3 players become more and powerful with an endless list of proprietory jargon, it is time to make a paradigm shift with regards to your mindset when buying. Don't make the purchase as an affair where you merely procure a gadget. If you see it as such, i'm pretty sure you will never never be satisfied with what you get and in the first place, i would even doubt what is it that you really want.

The paradigm shift in thinking is this. Don't imagine, be convinced that you are purchasing a slice of lifestyle. It is something that can potentially radicalise your life. Of course the use of the word radicalise may seem a tad too strong. But make no mistake about it, the piece of lifestyle would in time embody what you are and be a part of your life in my opinion. This kind of attitude has its advantages and i'm sure will be warmly welcomed by your wallet.

For one, you don't ditch your lifestyle away so easily like you do with tissue paper. Chances are that you will be content with your purchase and not have the nagging thought whenever you see new products emerge, " hmmm, why didn't i think of that?" In other words you are in technological nirvana! You are not so bothered with replacing your player with better emerging ones as you are content...

The second advantage out of several others is that you won't spent most your time fretting over what technology or capability to embrace cos that's not your primary focus. Rather, you should always look out for is whether the player fits into your life. Like for an example, you like to jog or prance around with your player. I don't think your hard disk player would like that very much as it's sensitive to shock. On the other hand, a flash based player would be able to do that.
Remember, you might get what the salesman says is best but yet end up not happy with it. Any smart consumer knows that he or she should get a hefty bang for the buck whenever possible. And the bang is different for everyone here.

Now the challenge here is to find out what kind of person you are and logically purchase the suitable product. You know yourself best. What i have been expounding over these paragraphs so far is merely to highlight the fact " Buy it to suit your needs not as a wow wow gadget" I'm sure you will be better off that way. By the way, there are some other factors to look out for. For example, you like to go hiking in the wilderness. Chances are that you can't charge your batteries in the wild (obviously...) At this point, it might be wise of you to factor in long battery life. My suggestion here would be a player that accept non-proprietary batteries available cheap so that swapping them won't burn a hole in your pocket and then people accuse you of starting a bush fire in the wilderness...

After you have settled these, you will pleasantly discover that you will know what to look out for your player and then move in for the kill at big digital fairs held annually like COMEX bla bla...
